There are some slight changes to the formula in the new Karicare Infant and Follow-On Formulas, in line with changes to international best practice.
As part of the company’s commitment to maintaining global best practices, Nutricia has chosen to follow the new draft international recommendations for Powdered Infant Formulae, developed by the Codex Committee on Food Hygiene. In doing so, this meant making some minor processing changes to how we dry our formula powder.
Due to this change, parents may notice extra froth, and the formula may take longer to dissolve. However, we would like to assure parents that the formula is based on international standards and it is being used in many other countries.
While it is our policy to inform customers whenever there is a significant change to our formula, we try to avoid worrying customers when the changes are minor. It is now clear that these changes have caused concern among some New Zealand parents and we would like to assure all parents that the formula is based on global best practices and it is being used in many other countries.
Nutricia is committed to maintaining global best practices and has implemented new international recommendations, which meant making some minor processing to how we dry our formula powder. We would like to assure parents that the formula is based on international standards and it is being used every day in many other countries.
Due to processing changes to how we dry our formula powder, parents may notice frothing when preparing the formula. This is normal. We are confident that the majority of infants will adjust to the changes in formulation of Karicare Infant and Follow-On formulas. The modifications are based on global best practices, with the new formulation being used in many other countries.
Any change to a child’s diet often requires a small period of adjustment and most infants settle into their new diet over time.
If your child hasn’t adapted to Karicare Infant or Follow-On Formula over a reasonable period of time (i.e. 1-2 weeks), please speak with your Healthcare Professional for alternative formula recommendations.
Yes, in the short term but Nutricia is committed to continuously improving the quality of our formulas and maintaining global best practices and hence will continue to update products in line with this. We are confident that the majority of infants will benefit from these improvements.
Really very satisfied to tell, your post is very fascinating to check out.
