Offering baby solids before milk?
Q: Why do I have to wait until my baby is 8-9 months before I start offering solids before milk?

A: Since a large range of foods can now be offered, the solids can contribute more to the nutritional quality of your baby’s diet. At this age your baby can eat larger quantities (as opposed to what they could eat at 5-6 months), and so more nutrients can be consumed through solids.
