My 13 month old boy won’t eat vegetables. What can I do?

Question of the month
Q: My 13 month old boy won’t eat vegetables. What can I do?

A: Try serving vegetables raw or blanched as a snack, with a dipping sauce or in stir-fries.
Include vegetables in dishes such as lasagne or meatballs with sauce.
Make vegetable fritters, or use vegetables in pizza toppings.
Remember that many fruit and vegetables provide similar nutrients. If your son likes only a few vegetables, but eats a good selection of fruits, relax, and just keep trying, offering vegetables in various ways at intervals. If your toddler sees you and other children eating and enjoying vegetables, he will too, eventually.
