Tip for mum
If you’ve made a batch of food for baby, divide it into suitable portions (for example ice cube sized portions) and freeze it. When you are ready to use the frozen food, make sure you thaw it thoroughly, and heat through until piping hot, then leave to cool before serving.
Tip for keeping baby warm
A baby’s head is large in proportion to the rest of her body, and most of his/her body warmth will be lost through her head, so it’s always advisable in cool or cold weather to wear a hat. Also, several layers of clothing in natural fibres are a much better option than dressing baby in a heavy snow suit or a chunky jersey, as it’s easier to adjust his/her temperature by removing or adding layers.
